Overview
Education remains one of the biggest challenges in many rural communities of Nepal, where children often leave school due to financial hardship, limited awareness, and social practices such as child labor and early marriage. This project was initiated to increase educational awareness, encourage school enrollment, and strengthen community participation in supporting children's education.
The Challenge
Many families in remote villages viewed education as a lower priority compared to household responsibilities or income-generating activities. Limited access to educational resources, inadequate awareness of the long-term benefits of education, and gender inequality contributed to low enrollment and high dropout rates, particularly among girls and children from marginalized communities.
The Goal
The project aimed to:
- Increase awareness of the importance of education.

- Promote equal access to education for girls and disadvantaged children.

The Approach

My Role
As the Project Manager, I coordinated project planning, managed communication with stakeholders, monitored implementation activities, tracked project milestones, and ensured timely delivery of awareness programs across target communities.
The Outcome
The project successfully engaged rural communities in conversations around education and helped strengthen local support for children's learning. Schools reported increased community participation during awareness events, improved student attendance in targeted areas, and greater involvement of parents in their children's education.
